You can copy the current graph to the clipboard in order to export the graph to another document, such as a word processor or spreadsheet. To do this, just select ‘Copy’ from the Edit menu, or click the Copy tool, which looks like a pair of scissors.
The graph is normally copied to the clipboard as a scaleable QuickDraw graphic, which means it retains all of the orginal drawing commands. You can further edit an image like this with a drawing application such as MacDraw™. If you prefer to export the image as a bitmap, which is more like a paint-type image, you can do so by holding down the option key when selecting ‘Copy’.
If you want to copy only the part of the graph, select it with the Marquee Tool and choose ‘Copy’. In this case, the image must always be exported as a bitmap.
You may view the current Clipboard contents by selecting ‘Show Clipboard’ from the Edit menu.
